G-Eazy Forced to Cancel Show After Being Turned Away at Canadian Border

G-Eazy‘s legal woes seem to just keep following his trail. On Monday (July 9), the “Drop” rapper was denied entry into the Canadian border, TMZ reports.

Set to headline the Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary, G ran into issues with Canadian customs agents and subsequently had to cancel his appearance. While there aren’t many details as to why the Bay Area hitmaker was denied entry, sources speculate G’s recent arrest in Sweden was the reason.

Following the ordeal, the Cowboys Dance Hall released a statement on Monday night. “Cowboys regrets to inform you that G-Eazy is unable to perform tonight due to reasons beyond our control. Refunds will be processed at the online point of purchase (Showpass).”

Back in May, G-Eazy found himself in some serious legal trouble after being arrested for assault and cocaine possession following a concert in Sweden. According to initial reports, the rapper grew “belligerent” after a night of partying and threw punches at security guards inside of a nightclub. Upon being taken into police custody, G-Eazy was alleged to be carrying 1.5 grams of cocaine in his pocket at the time of his arrest, as well as a ‘rolled up $100 bill’, which police claim also had drug residue on it.

In the aftermath of the ordeal, G-Eazy has since apologized and expressed a sense of disappointment. “Embarrassed & apologetic beyond words about the incident, but above all I’m so fucking grateful they let me go, craziest experience of my life, awful night with a lot of bad luck and some even worse decisions but like I said I’m grateful as fuck to be a free man, back on tour performing for the fans,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

“Thank you to everyone who’s held me down along the way and supported this journey, I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know.”
